At least, this word means senility to most everybody except the doctors who diagnose and treat it.

To them, it means a very specific kind of senility, only seen in certain circumstances. So what? Well, unless everybody is careful in ther meanings, it is quite possible to hurt a person's chances by making assumptions without nailing down exactly what this term means.
